Bride of Frankenstein

I can't believe it has been a month since my last post. I have made some wallets out of the vintage fabric. I am working on one of the prints from the 80s. I found some cute 80s charms to hang from the zipper. I have also been working on this zipper pouch key chain. I have been trying to get some feedback on them.

Vintage Fabric Find

I went to this thrift store and noticed these huge trash bins of fabric. I think I spent a total of $1.75. I found some totally 80's fabric. One reminds me of the movie TRON. And for the best, I found this big bag at the bottom...it was full of sample fabrics...I am thinking from the 60's. It is the perfect size for 1 mini wallet. I must have about 75 different pieces, and some have the names still on them....What a find...It was probably sitting there for months...:)

My BAG

I was getting tired of PINK...So, I was excited to start a bag for myself....I love it. Again the pattern required hand sewing the inside...BLAH..There has to be a better way? I did put a huge obnoxious sequence letter on my friends diaper bag pocket but forgot to take a pic.. It looked great.

The Bag to Match....But Pocket Unfinished.

I bought a new Simplicity Pattern on Sale w the cutest bags on it. My friend picked this one out to match her Diaper Clutch. The outside looks so great but the pattern required a lot of handsewing inside the bag which I can't stand. So, it has a few issues...I think it is still usable...but would redo the directions of the pattern if I remade the bag. Who makes these directions...? Anyway, the pocket does not looked finished to me...I was thinking of ironing on a Big Monogram embroidered letter...What do you think...too cheesy?

Finished the 3rd and last diaper clutch. They were fun but I am glad to be moving on. I am definetely not in baby mode anymore....I think this one is my fav...definetely my style. Hopefully, the new mommy will like it too.

Cupcake Diaper Holder and Wipe Case

I have been wanting to desing a diaper holder. I have 3 very pregnant friends in need of one. I prettied the wipe case too just for fun. It was a fun project. I was going to line it with somethink leak proof but was having a hard time finding some liner I liked.:)

NO sewing - cutting and ironing.

My son wanted skateboard curtains. I looked online and could not find anything I liked or could afford...But by chance we found some old potterybarn sheets at GoodWill with skateboarer boys on it...Sooooo, I cut them out and fused them to his curtains...Not bad for $1.99 :)

Summer Time

I decided to slightly change my design inside the mini's. So, I have been busy remaking 55 wallets and slowly uploading new pics. I only have 12 left to do. I feel like I am not getting much done. I have so much new fabric that will have to wait. It's summer time and my son is home, which is so fun. I have to change priorities to playing lego batman and no sewing. I am also helping my hubby do his homework at night (which is usually my sew time). So, sewing will be slow for awhile. :( I will have to live on seeing what all my friends make.

Again, with the fabric

I have so many projects in a pile waiting for me and what do I do? Buy more fabric. I went to this fabric wharehouse hole in the wall, where the customer service is horrible but if you dig around enough you can find some fun fabric. As you see above. I think I will hide it away for now, as not to get overwhelmed. ......:) I think I might have some kind of fabric obsession :)
